Hyeri Wins Rising Star Award at New York Asian Film Festival

Lee Hyeri will receive the Screen International Rising Star Asia Award for her lead role in the movie “Victory” at the 23rd New York Asian Film Festival (NYAFF), which opens on July 12th (local time) at Lincoln Center in New York.

The New York Asian Film Festival, held annually in New York, is a prominent Asian film festival in North America. This year, the opening film is “Victory”. The Screen International Rising Star Asia Award recognizes emerging talents in the Asian film industry.

“Victory” tells the story of Pil-sun (Lee Hyeri) and Mina (Park Se-wan), a school dance duo in late 1999.

Lee Hyeri has received love from domestic and international fans for her performances in dramas such as “Reply 1988”, “My Roommate Is a Gumiho” and “May I Help You?” as well as the film “My Punch-Drunk Boxer”. The still cuts and teaser video of “Victory” showcase a new transformation for Lee Hyeri, heightening audience expectations.

“Victory” is set to be released on August 14th.
